P.L.E.A.S.I.N.G.

It is the start of a new year with many a “to do” lists for those eager to make this year count. This year instead of something I want to do I have something I want to be and that is “pleasing”, pleasing to my Heavenly Father. I was created for His pleasure, so it seems to me the best use of my time. Besides, I have wasted too much time chasing the wind, which is how I would describe what happens when I set my heart on anything but the One who can really satisfy the longings of my soul. Even if I happen to catch the wind the ride only lasts so long, the things of this life are temporal, my heart longs for what is lasting.
