America.

Two hundred and fifty years ago

There were freedoms this land had yet to know

Men with a dream and the courage to fight

Decided to stand against what was not right

The right to life and liberty

And the pursuit of happiness, these three

These men declared as the very things

That would form a great nation and give new wings

The road ahead would be hard and long

Even in weakness, they would stand strong

Putting aside their differences to

Unite in the soon to be Red, White, and Blue

Freedom to worship, to think, and to speak

These are the freedoms they would seek

Freedoms such as these and more

Which men today will still fight for

To live in America, land of the free

Is not a thing to take lightly

For those who in this country dwell

Comes the charge to use these freedoms well

Let us not forget in years to come

These freedoms are meant for everyone

And as we live, may we keep in mind

The greater good of all mankind

North, South, East, West

May Americans give their best

Be thankful for each freedom granted

And do our best, to bloom where planted

May we celebrate with thankful hearts

How we have been given a wonderful start

As we hope for all that the future can bring

As we stand for truth and let freedom ring
