Today I am Free

Today I am free. You are too. Perhaps we are still bound by some things, perhaps even things of which, we hold the key which would set us free. Holding the key and using it are two different things. The key is, don't drop the key. Hold on till you find the wherewithal to use it. And remind yourself, no matter how you feel, that in some ways-
Today I am free to think about
Thoughts that are lovely and help me out
Today I am free to speak kind words
Where lives will be blessed, if they are heard
Today I am free, my talents to use
The better attitude to choose
To walk the path less traveled and
To lend someone a helping hand
Whether a light, or a heavy load
Lord, help me choose the higher road
To do what my heart would say I should
In working towards a higher good
This day I will not see again
So help me Lord, to be a friend
A steward wise, a servant true
With the freedoms that I have in You
For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery Galatians 5:1
