Happy Mother's Day

If I had flowers to give away

On this springtime Mothers Day

I’d give them to the people who

Do all the things that mothers do

To the mothers of course, but also to those

Who touch a child’s life, as just Heaven knows

Who believe in a child when no one else does

And say “I love you” just because

To those who see the value in

Helping children through thick and thin

Who do the hard things, day and night

To make a child’s future bright

To those who take the long range view

And say to a child “I believe in you!”

To those who comfort and empathize

Who know a hug fits every size

No one day is like another

When you have the heart of a mother

Learn to take them as they come

Both the trying, and the fun

Sometimes it’s yours, good seed to sew

Sometime you water, and see fruit grow

Hang on tight, the ride is wild

But, Oh how blessed will be your child!
