Change.

Have you ever wanted to change something (namely yourself) and met with resistance? The greater the stakes, the greater the resistance. Changing which brand of toothpaste you buy is not too difficult no matter how many years you have been brushing with your current brand, the stakes are not that high. But try changing the bitterness that flows out of your heart when someone squeezes your tube of toothpaste the wrong way, again. The stakes are a little higher, that might mean stepping on your pride, your right to be right. Psychology is helpful for those of us attempting change, but even psychology has its limits.
