If life is like a box of chocolates...reach for the hope filled kind!
(and have a little chocolate for your soul)
With whom do you spend Mother's Day?
With whom do you spend Mother's Day
A mother who is here
Or a mother now in Heaven
Whom to your heart is dear
With whom do you share Mother’s Day
With children of your own
Or with those who through your presence
A mother’s heart have known
With whom do you share Mothers Day
Adoptive and birth mothers too
Stepmoms, mentors, aunts,
Grandmothers, just to name a few
With whom do you share Mother’s Day
With a child who writes or phones
Or with a child in Heaven
Who awaits your coming home
With whom do you share Mother’s Day
Those living their best day yet
Or with those who know the heartache
Of a longing not yet met
With whom do you share Mother’s Day
And what reminds you of
The gifts so strong and tender
Wrapped up in a mother’s love
May God meet us on Mother’s Day
In both our joy and sorrow
With in-the-moment gratitude
And hope for bright tomorrow
Here joys mix with sorrows
But the best is yet to be
Earthly love, a foretaste of
God‘s love for His family
“the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.” Jeremiah 31:3 ESV
“In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.” 1 John 4:9 ESV
