What Love Will Do

Love prays

 

When we walk hand in hand, that we would stay together

That the bonds that draw us close would be the kind that can’t be severed

 

Love stays

​

When we meet challenges which are bound at times to come

Love says, together we can face the things from which some run

 

Love shares

 

In times of joy when skies are clear and paths are plain

In times when sorrow comes, for life is bound to bring some pain

 

Love cares

 

And love will sacrifice to ease another’s trial

Love looks for ways to lift another up and bring a smile

 

Love fills

 

The emptiness inside a heart that feels alone

For it fills the longing that we have to know, and to be known

 

Love stills

 

A heart that’s anxious, like a welcome, faithful friend

Through highs and lows, as we come to know, that true love never ends
