What is a True Father?

​

Someone who takes seriously

His responsibility

A caring and discerning guide

One who comforts and provides

​

 He serves and he does not think twice

When he is called to sacrifice

 He’ll take the challenge, see it through

For that is just what fathers do

​

He looks to meet his children’s needs

And for their welfare intercedes

His wisdom is deep, his patience is long

His vision is clear, His love is strong

​

His children are blessed for they are his

And what an amazing father he is

Here, there, everywhere

They know they are safe within his care

​

To fathers north, south, east, and west

Who embrace their call and give their best

Thank you for all of the things you do

To care for your children a lifetime through

​

To those who may be missing a dad

Or the father they wanted but never had

May the love of a Heavenly Father embrace

You, in the hardest of times that you face

​

Oh how rich, a father’s love

Especially that of our Father above

Who draws His children to His side

And in His matchless grace provides

​

His love is vast, His mercy deep

His every promise He will keep

Truest of fathers, our Father above

May today, you know His love

​

so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him.”  Psalm 103:13
