To A Mother Of Sorts

You may not have physical children it’s true

But if there’s a Mother’s Day...it is for you

For the many you mother in so many ways

Teaching them both how to walk and to praise

As a mom you have given a wealth of advice

As a mom you have often, made sacrifice

To give to the children who follow your lead

All that eternally they’re going to need

You nurture so many, through joy and through tears

I hope that you see, fruit through the years

And that you are blessed for the way that you give

For your motherly love, for the way that you live

The best deeds, they oft go unnoticed it’s true

But today we rise up, and celebrate you

For walking in His steps and doing your part
