Time

Sometimes it drags, sometimes it flies

At times it asks, or answers, “Why’s”

It seems immense when times are tough

At times it seems, there is never enough

It a leveler of mankind

In any given day we find

Twenty four hours is all a day brings

Whether it crawls, or seems to have wings

The key to making the most of time

Lies within the heart and mind

How do we approach each minute

(Especially as we’re living in it)

Are we bent on writing our own story

Or living for the greater glory

Of God who is the Lord of all

Both moments grand and moments small

In all our moments, high and low

God’s grace and glory we can know

He is worthy of our praise

On both are best and hardest days

In sunshine, may our cups He fill

In darkness may we trust Him still

His are the wisest, greatest plans

And all our moments in His hands

But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.  The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”  2 Peter 3:8
