The Pain of Loss

I wish that I could find a way

To take the pain of loss away

 

There is so much I do not know

About the art of letting go

 

Goodbye is such a heavy load

And so uncharted is the road

 

No one, expertise can claim

For no two losses are the same

 

Lord help us in the letting go

In faith and confidence to grow

 

Show us You will be enough

When the path is steep and the road is rough

 

Be our Comfort, Rock, and King

The One to whom we always cling

 

Teach us more, Your love to know

Even in the letting go
 

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you,

because he trusts in you.   Isaiah 26:3
