The One You Miss

To know someone’s is in Heaven is a joy beyond compare

But you’re still going to miss them because that's how much you care

We know that we will meet again, someday by and by

Still now I wish you did not have to cry the tears you’ll cry

To know the joys of Heaven does not take away the pain

When you miss someone you love, life is not the same

Joy and sorrow come like waves as memories float past

If only we could take the best of times and make them last

The joys we share are foretaste of the joy that is to come

The sorrow helps us lean upon the Lamb who’s overcome

May you walk each sorrow and each joy with ample grace

Until you meet the Savior and your loved one, face to face

“Death is swallowed up in victory.  O death, where is your victory:  O death, where is your sting?”  The sting of death is sin and the power of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  I Corinthians 15:53-56
