Your Gift

If I had $20 million dollars- to give as a gift, to anyone met, and I would never run out of this gift money no matter how often I gave,  and the value of the money would not decrease no matter how many people took the gift, would I not give it?

If I had a pill- that one could take and long term it would transform one, so that in your transformed state you would never feel pain or be sad or sick or tired or lonely, and you would never suffer, and would enable you to live this way forever without end- would I not share?

The truth is,  I have received a gift worth more than $20 million dollars and I have had the experience of being transformed.  I am sure of a place called Heaven where I will never feel pain or be sad or sick or tired or lonely or suffer and where I’ll live forever, so I’m sharing, because the gift is not just for me, it’s for everyone.

I share because some people have heard about the the Giver- but they do not KNOW the Giver.  I was like that for many years, I knew about Him but I didn’t know Him.  That changed when I asked the Giver, “If You are real and if the gift is real..help me to know You and help me to be humble enough to receive the gift.”  If you know of Him but don’t know Him, seek Him and ask Him to make Himself known, and to enable you to receive.

I ask because some people have heard of the Giver but do not believe His truth, or that there even is one true standard of truth.  Without Truth,  life is unstable and depressing; there is no assurance,  just a vague “hope” that “the whatever”  I choose to work for me really does work for me.

I ask because still other people have never heard of the Giver; if that’s you, I want you to know of the Giver,  and the gift  that He is still giving today.  God is the Giver and His Son Jesus is the gift.  The Holy Bible is the truth and reading it is like unwrapping the gift.  God promises:

“You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”  Jeremiah 29:13 (ESV)

and “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.”  Matthew 7:7 (ESV)

Some gifts sound too good to be true, maybe you’ve gotten burned before; but this gift, summed up in Romans 6:23 is every bit as true as it is good.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 6:23 (ESV)

You can’t afford NOT to unwrap this gift!
