Someone New on Heaven's Shore

It is different now than it was before

There is someone new on Heaven’s shore

While with the angels we are glad

On earth our hearts are a little sad

When you tell someone you love goodbye

Memories can make you laugh and cry

The imprint on your heart remains

Still life will never be the same

May the memories be sweet and long

And the grace of God sufficiently strong

To carry us through both the sun and the rain

The laughter and tears, the joy and the pain

May we follow God’s lead as He moves us from here

Sharing with Him every smile, every tear

And till we too enter our mansion above

May we live in the fulness of God’s present love
