Search For Love

 

We look for love our whole lives through

In those we meet, in things we do

In comfort, in a loyalty strong

In places we feel we belong

​

Too often what at first it seems,

Will still our hearts and meet our dreams

Falters as the storms roll past

And in the end just doesn’t last

​

All the while we search for love

The Father from His throne above

Showers on us peace and grace

Grants hope in each unlikely place

​

He cares for us as just could

Working for His glory and our good

With a tender love that’s fiercely strong

And the truest place where we belong

​

Oh that we might more deeply know

This love, which will not let us go

This love which offers so much more

Than all we have been searching for

​

May our hearts,  so prone to wander

Evermore return from yonder

Restless till we find our rest

In the love that loves us best

​
