Resolutions

 

 

You can make some resolutions which I suppose might do you good

Of the habits that you want to change (or others think you should)

 

Hope that with the changes you will live longer while you are here

Hope that the important crowds the urgent out this year

 

It is good to live a life that is somewhat purpose driven

And it is good to try and make the most of what we're given

 

God wants us to be diligent, to want to do our part

But mostly want He wants is a surrendered life and heart

 

This year may be the year your ducks all line up in a row

Or it may be filled with unexpected turns you've yet to know

 

But if Jesus is your Savior He will lovingly guide you

His Sovereign hand will keep you safe and near Him all year through

 

So as you dream your dreams this year and as you make your plans

Remember first to place your life in God's Almighty hands

 

Sometimes our plans are not His plans, His ways are far above

But He will keep His promises, and we can trust His love
