Praying For You

​

If only there were words to say

To lift the burdens you carry today

To make the hard things, not so tough

To smooth the roads that now seem rough

 

And though these things we cannot do

We know the One who carries you

Has strength enough to lead you on

Even when your own is gone 

 

We lift you up to God in prayer

And ask Him that His tender care

To keep you in His close embrace

In times His hand is hard to trace

 

We pray that in His power and might

He would make the burdens light

And that by grace, you would always know

His love, which will not let you go

 

There is a heartache and a strain

When the brokenness of life brings pain

 We pray for the comfort of His hand

 When life is hard to understand

 

In the hardest moments that we face

We know that we can trust His grace

 And that for every heart that bleeds

The Holy Spirit intercedes

 

In this space, where our words fail

May God’s steadfast love prevail

May His Spirit comfort, cheer and warm

The heart that’s sad, weary, and worn

 

May His mercies, new each day

Shine upon you, on the way

And be the pathway smooth or rough

You know His grace, to be enough
