Happy Mother's Day

.

To the mother who has it all together

To the mother who has it together- not ever

To the mother whose children stand still in a line

To the mother whose children occasionally whine

To the mother who loves gourmet meals to cook

To the mother who loves reservations to book

To the mother who has all her ducks in a row

To the mother who wonders “Where did those ducks go?”

To the mother who so much about the job knows

To the mother whose learning her job as she goes

To the mother who sees that the work all gets done

To the mother who sees that her children have fun

To the mother who folds laundry neatly in piles

To the mother whose laundry is stacked up for miles

To the mother who thinks she is doing this well

To the mother who thinks off the wagon she fell

You may wish to be what perhaps you are not

Just do what you can with the things you have got

Your children do not need your talents or wit

They just need you to know that your love will not quit

You may wish that you had a bit more to give

Just give what you can every day that you live

You don’t need more wisdom or even more stuff

For a child with faith, hope, and love..has enough!
