MOMS

A mom is someone special, but don’t take just take it from me

Follow one around a day, and you yourself will see

 

It takes a special person to do all the jobs she does

No promise of a paycheck, no, she does it just because

 

She is the one on call, in the middle of the night

If someone needs a drink, a hug, or a bulb for a dead nightlight

 

Should you get bored, or sick, or scared, she’s good to have around

She heads  the “search and rescue team” for all that can’t be found

 

Moms, they climb many mountains….of laundry it is true

Bring them low, and as you know, turn them into clean clothes for you

 

And in case you didn't know it, they are the reason the fridge is full

And the reason that you open the cupboard and find a freshly washed bowl

 

Sometimes the things they do, don’t seem like such big things

But they keep the systems running, so your dreams can find wings

 

Most of all they show they care, and that they understand

So you know they will always love you, like just a mother can!
