                                 Love is...Is Not...

Love is not a “feeling”

Though it’s something you can feel

 

Love is not a “doing”

Though it acts in ways most real

 

Love is not a wish,

Or a distant hope afar

 

It is not a place or time to come,

Love is where you are

 

Love is how God feels about His children,

When came sin

 

Love’s what God did on Calvary,

To win them back again

 

It is the heart that opens

That Jesus can come in

 

It is letting love flow back to God

Time and time again

 

Love has no beginning

God always was, will always be

 

Love also has no ending

It’s for all eternity

 

So celebrate today,

Not in what you do or feel

 

But in this truth God is,

And His love for you is real

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son,

that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

 John 3:16 (ESV)
