Lord, I Pray

 

Lord I pray for mercy so I can  do, all that You will call me to

For courage to leave myself behind and embrace Your agenda instead of mine

 

I pray Lord for humility, You are God and I’m just me

You are Sovereign and Divine,  I was made for Your will not for mine

 

I need mercy for I am weak, and while sacrifice is easy to speak

In the years I’ve walked with You I’ve found, it’s only by grace I can lay my will down

 

I pray for trust for all my years,  that I’d cling to You  in joy and tears

Give me grace to embrace Your plan,  when it’s hard to understand

 

I pray for hope, for today, to know You hear the prayers I pray

And more than that,  to know more of, Your never failing mighty love

 

I pray for strength to trust Your power, in my deepest darkest hour

For vision Lord, when joys come too, to help me keep my eyes on You

 

I pray for eyes that I might see, that You know what is best for me

When the plans I have tip upside down, may I still stand on Solid Ground

 

I praise You Lord  for Your steadfast ways, for all You are,  for all my days

For who You are and will always will be, today and through eternity!!
