King of Kings

Before the morning stars awoke, the King of Kings was there

Before man breathed first breath of life, or knew to bow in prayer

He saw the coming in of sin, the heartache yet unspoken

Knew He would be the only way to Glory, for the broken

So He wrapped Himself in human flesh and taught us how to live

He showed us what it meant to love, to serve, and to forgive

Then offered up His life for us, a living sacrifice

Our sin demanded payment and just He could pay the price

As we think about the way He lived, and how for us He died

May the places in our hearts He longs to dwell, be opened wide

May our joy and peace be full, as we seek Him in all things

And may each day, we find a way, to praise Him, King of Kings.

“On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written,

King of kings and Lord of lords.”   Revelations 19:16
