Is There Meaning

Does life have meaning on an ordinary day

When skies are blue with a hint of gray

When slow and steady is the climb

And days pass by one a time

Does life have meaning at the top of a hill

When the best of dreams have been fulfilled

And the future looks brighter than ever before

But deep inside you long for more

Does life have meaning when you meet with grief

When you look around in disbelief

And storm clouds hover over you

And you wonder how you will make it through

Is there meaning in, the “in’s” and “out’s”

The hopes and dreams, the fears and doubts

The wrestlings of peace and strife

That mixed together make up life

Is there One, who holds the key

That takes away the mystery

That we might know, as never before

All we were created for

Is there a hope, that remains

Days of sunshine, days of raIn

Is there purpose, that will stand

Through all we have and have not planned

There is a purpose and a plan

For each of God’s created man

Made for His praise and His fellowship sweet

Life with God, is life complete

Hope is ours, though born into sin

Of sharing this fellowship with Him

Not because of what we have done

But because of Jesus Christ, God’s Son

The price for sin is sacrifice

God sent His Son to pay the price

His blood can save us from the sin

That keeps us from joy found in Him

Thus Christ adds meaning in countless ways

To our great and our ordinary days

Gives purpose to our days most bright

Grants hope when life seems all but right

Our days on earth so soon are past

But all we find in Christ will last

God’s purposes forever stand

He was and is The Great I Am

D not live life aimlessly

Christ offers life abundantly

So lay your life down at His feet

And find in Him, a life complete
