In The Up and Down

Lord help me keep my eyes on You 

In the up and down

In the dance between life's joy and pain 

Be where my hope is found

 

Be the anchor that will ground me 

When the storms of life prevail

And for joys that may await me 

Be the wind that moves my sail

 

I know not what tomorrow brings

Yet You have granted me

To see beyond tomorrow

To a vast eternity

Where tears and sorrow are no more

And life is but a dream

And  You have promised to be near

For all the in between

​

We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf…”Hebrews 6:19 (ESV)
