In The Day of Trouble

In the day of trouble, when hope is hard to see

When it seems that there is so much wrong, that simply should not be

 

Give me grace to trust You Lord, and call upon Your name

Restore in me this hope, the prayers I pray are not in vain

 

Protect me from the enemy whose arrows all around

Sail past me left and right, trying  to bring me down

 

Helplessness, discouragement, anger, and despair

Come and fill my mind with doubts that you are really there

 

These trials they feel heavy yet I know I am not alone

Lord, You are all-knowing and will not forsake Your own

 

Make Your presence known to me, Ruler of all things

That even in this darkness I might praise You, King of Kings!
