Missing you at Christmas-

I hear the sound of Christmas bells, the candles burn with Christmas smells, and all of the memories live to tell.

I miss you most at Christmas.

Yet in each memory I see, a foretaste of a joy to be, reunion in eternity.

I miss you most at Christmas.

I listen to the silent night, I wish the heavy felt more light, why does so much just not seem right.

I miss you most at Christmas.

I wish upon a Christmas star that Heaven didn’t seem so far, yet smile, to think that’s where you are.

I miss you most at Christmas.

They say that love is worth the pain but sometimes underneath the strain, of knowing things won’t be the same.

I miss you most at Christmas.

The Christ of whom the choir sings, has conquered death and rules all things, this is the hope that Christmas brings.

I miss you most at Christmas.

I push away the lonely fear of missing you another year,  I know that Christ will meet me here.

I miss you most at Christmas.

God with us has come to dwell, they called his name Immanuel, through every heartache, all is well.

I miss you most at Christmas.

“.....Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man.  He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.  He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more…”

 Revelation 21:3-4
