Hole In Your Heart

There’s a hole in your heart and there always will be

As long as the seashore is next to the sea

As long as the mountains stand tall and stand high

As long as the sunset, paints up the sky

There’s a hole in your heart and you’ll notice it when

You think of the way, things were back then

Back then when you, could reach out and touch

The loved one you miss and you love oh so much

There’s a hole in your heart, it's a jewel of rare token

Only a heart that knows love can be broken

And beyond the loss with it's heartache and pain

The joy of the love you once shared still remains

There's a hole in your heart and there will be until

God casts out all sorrow in His perfect will

Till we reach Heaven, and behold God's face

And the holes disappear in His glory and grace

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
