Happy New Year

Out with the old in with the new

It’s a brand new year and our wish for you

Is that January through December

It is filled with blessings to remember

Now we don’t know what the year will bring

But we’re pretty sure of this one thing

There will be some great days, and then too

A few we’ll wish we could redo

The key is …to live this year smart

On harder days to not lose heart

To share the joy that come our way

And see some good in every day

To find in every day we live

A way to receive and a way to give

A reason to smile and a way to trade

Life’s lemons for some lemonade

We’ve given a little food for thought

As to how to walk this year we’ve got

From January to December

Here are a few things to remember……

January can be bitter cold

Winter’s gray skies can get a old

But a warm drink or a cozy fire

Many warm thoughts can inspire

Even February winds can smart

But it’s the month for chocolate hearts

The cold winds you can rise above

If you share a little love

March is a toss up- snow or showers?

Remember moisture helps the flowers

And if April rains come, don’t dismay

Prepare for the flowers that bloom in May

When June arrives, there is fun galore

Gardening, ball games, and much more

And then July (if you think it hot)

Be thankful for the things you are not..

Not snowed in, and without a doubt

Not too cold to venture out!

August as a general rule

Means that kids head back to school

Student or not, you can too

This month set out to learn something new

September, it brings colors grand

As the leaves change, understand

That change, though hard, is sometimes good

So try and embrace it as you should

October, we’re full into Fall

Leaves drop from the trees so tall

And then November, when once more

We think of all we are thankful for

December is how we end the year

It brings kind deeds, good news, and cheer

And hopefully a tale, to tell

For another year, we have lived well.

“I have been crucified with Christ.  It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.  And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”  Galatians 2:20 (ESV)
