                                 God's Love

God’s thoughts and ways are far above

Our thoughts and ways, if He is love

No wonder we cannot to understand

The wonders of His loving hand

Love bore the nails on a cross on a hill

Where Jesus, God’s Son, laid down his will

Where He chose to die that God might forgive

That justice would reign and yet we could still live

Love is unexplainable, yet love is real

Love is not a feeling, though love, you can feel

It is something you know but not knowledge alone

It is something you give and yet somehow still own

Love is the comfort in trial and test

That allows the worried mind to rest

And when you do not know, how you will get through

Love comes along and carries you

Love is the well that never runs dry

The insatiable thirst to know God on High

God’s love is the undeserved gift that we seek

Strong is the love that has come for the weak

Love is all of our longings fulfilled ever more

What is not in of love, is not worth searching for

And God through His Son waits with His outstretched hand

For us each to step into this great love He planned

"But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

                                                                                            Romans 5:8 (ESV)
