God's Answer in the Trial

 

I said "There's only so much I can handle", I said "There's only so much I can take."

 

You said "I know I formed you with your limits, you're my child and you I'll not forsake."

 

I said "I'm getting weary of enduring", I said "My witness for You's wearing thin."

 

You said "When you depend on me alone, it's there your witness for me can begin."

 

I said "The dark of night time overwhelms me, and after that I dread the heat of day."

 

You said "I am your light in all your darkness", You said "I am your comfort on your way."

 

I said "Lord I am weak and I've been thinking, that I am not the best one for this test."

 

You said "Make no mistake I've chosen you, each trial that's yours prepares you for the next."

 

I said "Another trial may await me, when this trial eases or is through?"

 

You said "It is through trials I refine you, in Heaven they will turn to gold for you."

 

I said "How will trust You in this moment, and in the moments that I know not of?"

 

You said "Through the joy that I will bring you, through my faithfulness and my everlasting love."
