Father's Day- Missing a Father

I wish that I could take away

 

A certain part of Father’s day

 

The part where some of us sometimes cry

 

The part where we sometimes wonder why

 

Why a father, so full of love

 

Is sometimes called to his home above

 

When it seems he had so much more to give

 

And so much more time here to live

 

Help us Heavenly Father to

 

Keep our faith and trust in You

 

Remind us, always, You provide

 

And You are ever by our side

 

Remind us of that glorious day

 

When forever tears will be wiped away

 

And we’ll meet as a family on Heaven’s shore

 

Sharing love forevermore
