Even Though

Even though it seems as if there is much to worry about

Even though we wonder just how God will work things out

 

Christmas time reminds us of the peace Christ came to give

In moments that make sense as well as moments hard to live

 

Even though this year there may be things that weigh us down

We know that Jesus bore the cross and now He wears a crown

 

Christmas time reminds us that the best is yet to be

Though battles wear us down our Lord has won the victory

 

Even though the perfect Christmas may not happen here

We know things will be perfect when our Lord again appears

 

Christmas time reminds us that despite what each day brings

He is our mighty Counselor and risen King of Kings

 

Even though there is much in life, we would like to rearrange

We can trust the goodness of a God who does not change

 

Christmas time points our hearts back, to where our hope is from

And we can sing “Joy to the World” because the Lord has come!

 

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!
