Bloom

I am sorry for the things I say

That do not take the pain

And also for when I don’t speak

And you feel lonely as you weep

I am sorry for this sea of grief

The ever present disbelief

That fills your mind from dusk to dawn

To think that she is really gone

I am thankful for the way she lived

For how her memory, still gives

Added joy to moments here

To those of us who held her dear

For how she brightened up a room

As if to say “You are flowers..bloom”

For how we love her just because

If there are flowers, that she was

I am thankful for the way that you

Somehow seem to make it through

The hardest times you have to face

With gratitude, and hope and grace

I wish that I could erase the pain

The questions no one can explain

The things which we will never know

This side of Heaven as we grow

So many words, already spoken

Still they cannot fix what’s broken

So I pray for you, for grace

For the sadness we cannot erase

I pray for joy, and for hope too

As the ups and downs of life roll through

That each new day, you would make room

To live as she, and always bloom
