About Love...

Some people love coffee, some people love cakes 

Some people love skiing, some jumping in lakes

 Some people love pizza, some people love mail

 And believe it or not…. some people love kale

Some people love work, and some people love books

Some love open spaces, some crannies and nooks

Some people love engines, some love the caboose 

And it goes without saying some love Dr. Seuss

 

Now we love these things but we’re quick to admit

That when we think of love, well, these things are not it

For we know a love that’s far better, it’s true

And it’s not just for us, it is also for you

 It never runs out and it loves us with zest

When we aren’t up to par, and when we're at our best 

It doesn’t play tricks and it doesn’t keep score

It lasts a whole lifetime, and then even more

 

The best of the best, it is worth more than gold

Though it cannot be bought and it cannot be sold

Simple as pie to receive, all you do

Is love back the One, Who first loved you 

We hope this day brings you the things you love most 

Like chocolate with caramel, and coffee- dark roast 

A joke you can laugh at, a song you can sing

A bowl full of kale (if that is your thing) 

 

But above all of this we hope deep in your heart

The greatest love ever fills each empty part 

That this love,  you're ever receiving and giving

For herein is LOVE that makes life worth the living!
